Skinny Bones
A feature-rich Jekyll theme designed to be a starting point rather than a finished product. Multiple layout options, grid-based article listing, and intentionally minimal styling that's easy to customise.
About this Theme
Skinny Bones is Michael Rose’s most framework-like Jekyll theme — purposely kept minimal in visual styling so that you can add your own design on top without fighting the theme’s opinions. The structure is all there: grid article listing, multiple layout options, featured images, breadcrumbs, table of contents, and tag/category pages.
Think of it less as a finished theme and more as a well-organised starting point that saves you building the scaffolding from scratch.
Who is it for? Developers who want a solid, well-structured Jekyll foundation they can customise heavily, rather than a theme with a fixed visual identity they have to work around.
